Dromore Beekeepers 2025 annual open evening was held on Tuesday 18th March 2025. Thank you to everyone who made this evening a success. We had frame making, our secretary Helen and Charlene candle making, Burkes bees, examples of equipment required and bee friendly plants. Established in 1984, the DBKA offers beekeeping advice, training, support and formal education to its members. The association is affiliated with both the Ulster Beekeepers Association (a registered charity), and the Federation of Irish BeeKeepers Association. It has a growing membership of over 150 and is run by its members on a voluntary basis. World Cup holders 1991, 1992, 2000 & 2004.
Dromore Beekeepers gave me the confidence to set up my very first hive, and helps me continually develop my knowledge and skills in this fascinating and unique hobby whilst meeting great mentors & friends.
If Carlsberg did Bee Improvement Days, they would be at Dromore Beekeepers Association!

Dromore Beekeepers Association April meeting will be held on Tuesday 15th April at 7.30pm. As usual the venue is Dromore High School, Science Mobile at the rear of the main building.
The speaker for the evening will be James McCreight, long time beekeeper, and past chairman of Belfast and District Beekeepers Association.
The topic will be 'A Queen Rearing Year at Minnowburn' ( they have reared over 1000 queens in one season)
All are welcome, and as usual the evening will finish with tea/coffee and 'beechat'...
